he likes jewelry, has anklets, rings, bracelets, necklaces. and to that point i'm going with shin just likes accessories in general.
Demeanor & Attitude
as someone who values his friends and found family, shin's relentlessly determined to protect and help them, but this behavior extends outside of those people too as time as gone on. even from childhood, shin is pegged as a person who puts others needs before his own and that's still true.

-raised in a lab and then spent time on the streets before taro sakamoto took him under his wing (basically) so prone to finding 'normal' life things alluring (this boy learns/reads from slice of life manga send help)
-EX-ASSASSIN big one but less in his daily demeanor and more important if your character threatens those he cares about. shin thinks poorly of himself in terms of his willingness to kill to protect, deems himself different from his idol/mentor sakamoto and indeed the family itself. he's an unfortunate mix of very soft but often also very extreme.
-really likes dogs and probably other animals
-is somehow both dog (praise him...pat him on the head...yeah) and cat coded (hackles raise easily, slap-slap kind of responses)

Precognition: By reading a person's motor-readiness potential (i.e., the spike in activity in the brain's motor areas before a muscle movement), Shin can see the future actions of someone. In the manga, this precognition is visualized by several juxtapositions of what will happen. However, overusing this ability causes great pain. Granny Miya comments that Shin should only use his precognition for 5 minutes a day.[16]
Mind Control: He can forcefully rewrite their thoughts, forcing them to comply to the new action.[17][18] The drawback of this command is that he cannot use this ability on the same person multiple times, as shown in his battle against Tenkyu where he could not stop him after stopping him once before, this drawback however isnt present when rewriting his own thought meaning he can use it on himself as much as he wants.[19]

carded as essentially "someone who puts others needs before his own" but not without costs.
his current day and public facing job is cashier/employee at the sakamoto store. he would do anything to protect taro sakamoto and his family.
the kind of person to think he's the big spoon and find out he's the little spoon.
hard-working type who can achieve results but is never anything along the lines of a prodigy or genius (third rate vs first rate dealio. but he's actually pretty good okay...it's just.../gestures at the pantheon of deranged talent/skill in sakamoto days....)
also the type to say cheesy things in support of other people and then get really defensive when called out on said cheese, mostly because he 100% sincerely meant those cheesy things and cares a lot and why are you making this hard for him please have mercy.
it's cool to care okay!
as an ex-assassin he's well versed in combat, guns, etc. despite this, it's probably a sliding scale of everyone else just being a little/or a lot better, since he winds up on the beat-up end of things quite a lot. but in a world where there's a whole organization of assassins, maybe that's not so weird.
sakamoto taro is his idol, friend, and once-partner. would literally die to protect him and his family, as aforementioned.
what else? sense of justice, values found family/friends, probably cares about you more than you want him to, etc.
likes to read manga, learns about stuff through it (INACCURATE, shin....) though with varying levels of 'believing' it as fact....but given his very unconventional (like most kids in SD apparently except dear hana) youth, he hasn't experienced anything normal like regular school. he seems the type to remember tropes or like so called milestones of youth from the manga he reads or shows he watches, and maybe to have a mental checklist, in case any of it ever happens for him.
headcanon/ embraced .5 panel canon: prone to migraines, has checklists of 'normal' things (like his checklist of school tropes when he's at the school), likes jewelry (based on his bracelets, anklet, necklace, etc), likes oversized clothes/open neck tops
more stuff: gullible and saved only probably by his mindreading....

-esp can be broken temporarily by say a BOMB lmao and prob other stuff adjacent and even unexpected unpleasant other third mystery thing
